Philadelphia Skyline
Ad Age recently stopped by Red Tettemer + Partners to film the office. My favorite part is the view from the 25th floor.

Jersey Girl in Philly
Laura came to visit me here in Philadelphia last weekend. We had fun eating at El Vez, drinking a boot of beer at Brauhaus Schmitz, and picking up a giant bag of pasta at the Italian Market.

Katy Grannan: Boulevard
Katy Grannan spent a few years photographing strangers next to a white wall on the streets of L.A. and San Francisco. The simplicity of the background removes any distraction from the subjects and allows you to focus right on them. Absolutely beautiful. You can see more on the Fraenkel Gallery website.

Ryan Matthew Smith: Food Photography
Apparently real photo assignments do exist on Craigslist! Seattle-based photographer Ryan Matthew Smith answered a posting to photograph food for a cookbook project. That project ended up lasting 3 years and created Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking, a six-volume, 2,400-page set that reveals science-inspired techniques for preparing food. Smith's images are fantastic and they focus on a completely new way of showcasing food.

Karen Elson and Jack White
I'm disappointed that supermodel Karen Elson and musician Jack White couldn't make it work. They were too cute to be true.

Detroit Visit
I spent this Memorial Day in Detroit and had so much fun. I was able to see Trish & Tony, enjoy a Tiger's game, eat breakfast at CafĂ© Muse, sushi at Ronin, and of course—chicken and waffles.
