The Dead Weather

Jack White, Jack White! I got to see Detroit native, Jack White! His new super band, the Dead Weather, is fantastic. Lead singer, Allison Mossart from The Kills is such a rock star. They played at The Fillmore Detroit named after the original Fillmore in San Francisco. It's not really the same, but props to Detroit for trying.

Here is an excerpt from Jack White's poem about Detroit, Courageous Dream's Concern:

Detroit, you hold what one's been seeking,
Holding off the coward-armies weakling,
Always rising from the ashes
not returning to the earth.

I so love your heart that burns
That in your people's body yearns
To perpetuate,
and permeate,
the lonely dream that does encapsulate,
Your spirit, that God insulates,
With courageous dream's concern.
